The year was 1963, President Kennedy was assassinated, I paid $3200 for a new car and bread sold for .79 cent a loaf. The median price for a single residence home was around $ 16,000. Nevada Union had just opened their new campus on Ridge Road in Grass Valley. That was the same year my family opened the family real estate business in Grass Valley. I got by brokers license in 1976 and took over the family business. I have been working in the profession since. My wife has been selling real estate in Nevada County for 27 years and my daughter has her license.

You could say that I was raised on real estate, as that was the major topic of conversation at the dinner table. Over the years I have seen many changes in our community. Shopping centers, freeways and housing developments dot the landscape which once was rural. Through this metamorphosis, there have been too many changes to mention. I have lived through it all.
